Nashville Tennessean

The Titans contined contract talks today with free agent running back Chris Brown, and general manager Mike Reinfeldt said he would like to have a deal completed by Tuesday, when the team begins its final minicamp.
Nashville Tennessean

UPDATE 6/15/07:
Agent Wynn Silberman said talks continue with the Titans and Chicago Bears and the free-agent running back is "getting closer to closing a deal."
Nashville Tennessean

UPDATE 6/7/07:
Because of the uncertainty with running backs LenDale White and rookie Chris Henry, there are indications Brown could eventually re-sign with the Titans, something he said he'd be excited about. Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said on Tuesday the two sides must first clear a hurdle in negotiations.
Nashville Tennessean

UPDATE 6/1/07:
"It is possible that Chris could come back, I wouldn't rule that out,'' Reinfeldt said. "He is a veteran who has lined up and done it and that is always a good thing.''
Nashville Tennessean

UPDATE 5/20/07:
The Bears, Colts, Packers, and Titans have also inquired but Brown, perhaps the top free agent running back available, hasn't made a visit because no team is offering the type of contract that will get him on a plane.
Boston Globe

UPDATE 5/20/07:
While the Pats have made contact with free agent Chris Brown, nothing is imminent in terms of bringing the 6-foot-3, 220-pound former Tennessee Titans  running back aboard to shore up the backfield.
Boston Herald

UPDATE 4/29/07:
Free agent running back Chris Brown, with whom the Patriots have made initial contact, had one of his options become less attractive when the Buffalo Bills selected Cal running back Marshawn Lynch in the first round. In addition to the Patriots, the Bills and Titans were among the teams that Brown, who has spent his entire four-year career with Tennessee, was speaking to.
Boston Globe

UPDATE 4/4/07:
But a deal with Tennessee could pave the way to Green Bay for free agent Chris Brown, who was close to a deal to return to the Titans before the team set up visits this week with Turner and Corey Dillon.

UPDATE 3/20/07:
It is believed Buffalo and Detroit were close to a deal with former Tennessee Titans back Chris Brown but backed off when the price got too high. The Packers have been in contact with Brown's agent, Wynn Silberman, who did not return a message Monday afternoon.
