UPDATE 4/27/07: Cornerback Jason David signed a four-year contract with New Orleans on Friday, filling a Saints' trouble spot while leaving the Super Bowl champion Indianapolis Colts with another hole to fill.

UPDATE 4/26/06: The Indianapolis Colts have lost both starting cornerbacks from their Super Bowl victory, having declined to match an offer sheet Jason David signed with New Orleans.
Indianapolis Star

UPDATE 4/19/07:
Once the Colts receive the offer sheet, they will have seven days to match it. If they don't, they would receive a fourth-round pick in the April 28-29 draft as compensation from New Orleans. Despite David being a three-year starter, the Colts tendered him at a low level -- $850,000, plus compensation based on where he was selected in the draft.

UPDATE 4/14/07:
Starting cornerback Jason David, a restricted free agent, visited with the New Orleans Saints on Friday. The meeting was confirmed by Saints general manager Mickey Loomis.
Indianapolis Star

UPDATE 3/17/07:
By issuing David the low restricted tender of $850,000, the Colts are gambling either that no team will sign him to an offer sheet or that if one does, they will be able to match it.
