UPDATE 5/13/07: The Jets, who shopped Kendall during the draft, are believed to be
eyeing possible replacements. They're keeping tabs on ex-Patriot and
Brown Joe Andruzzi. Andruzzi, who underwent recent arthroscopic knee surgery, should be healthy in a few weeks.

UPDATE 5/6/07: Former Patriots guard Joe Andruzzi plans to play an
11th season in the NFL, although it won't be in Cleveland, as the
Browns cut him loose Friday after two seasons with the club. Andruzzi
had a knee scope after the season, so he might wait until he's fully
healthy to start visiting interested clubs.

UPDATE 5/4/07: The Browns' release of veteran left guard Joe Andruzzi will become
official today, making him an unrestricted free agent. Andruzzi's
agent, Joe Linta, said Thursday that his client would be very
interested in the Jets should they call.

fight for my position," said Andruzzi, who was a
starter last season. "In this business they tell you
one thing and do another. I guess they're going with a
youth movement."

UPDATE 5/3/07: Andruzzi, who was set to make $1.5 million this season and is signed
through 2008, has been the Browns starting left guard since he was
signed as an unrestricted free agent from the Patriots in 2005.
Andruzzi, a 10-year pro, was a favorite of coach Romeo Crennel's both
on and off the field because of his great attitude and work ethic.

exceed the century mark with more than 100 rushing yards in five of the
first six weeks of the season … Part of an offensive line that started
the same five players in each of the last 12 regular-season games, all
Patriots victories … Started at right guard and was a member of an

year on injured reserve ... Sidelined for a month after he sprained the
medial collateral ligament in his right knee Aug. 5 ... Returned to the
field at Detroit (9/19) ... Placed on injured reserve (11/23) and
subsequently underwent corrective knee surgery (12/1).
1998: Served as the backup to Marco Rivera at left guard for
Packers ... Played in 15 games with one start while seeing the majority
of his playing time on special teams ... Made his first NFL start at
left guard, at Tampa Bay (Dec. 7) in place of the injured Rivera (knee)
... Inactive for regular-season finale at Chicago (12/27) ... Played on
special teams in NFC Wild Card playoff game at San Francisco (1/3).
1998 (NFLEL): Started all 10 games for the Claymores, earning a
spot on the All-NFL Europe team in the process ... Helped Claymores
finish with the third-best team rushing total in the league (averaging
100.0 yards per game) ... The Claymores notched three 100-yard rushing
performances during the season.
1997: Battled his way onto Packers' opening day roster by way of an
impressive early performance in the preseason ... Inactive for all 16
regular-season games and the Packers’ three playoff contests, including
Super Bowl XXXII ... Missed the last month of the preseason after
spraining the medial collateral ligament in his left knee in game
against the New England (July 31) ... Returned to the practice field
the second week of the regular season ... Signed with the Packers as an
undrafted free agent on April 25, 1997.

Andruzzi was a four-year starter (1993-96) at Southern Connecticut
State in New Haven, Conn. ... Selected NCAA Division II first-team
All-American by the National Football Coaches Association in 1995 and
1996 ... Played center, tackle and guard during his collegiate career
... First-team all-conference selection and team captain as a senior,
when he helped the Owls set season records for total yards (4,783),
touchdowns (52), passing yards (2,153) and completions (142).

Community Service Award in 2003. Joe received the Burton Award after
being recognized as the Patriots player who best embodies the qualities
of Burton, the first player drafted by the Patriots in 1959, and his

Andruzzi was born in Staten Island, N.Y. on Aug. 23, 1975 ... All-city
