UPDATE 3/23/08: Gray, who has visited Green Bay and Oakland, said after arriving at
George Bush Interconential Airport that he has another visit lined up
in Buffalo but doesn't plan to take it. The Texans are giving Gray a
one-year deal worth $635,000, including $40,000 to sign. Houston Chronicle UPDATE 3/13/08: There are a few more names, but Gray looks to be the best of a lot. He’s 28 years old, plays a lot like David Garrard and has experience playing on a team with a run-heavy offense. InsideBayArea.com UPDATE 3/12/08: NFL Network reported that Gray was in Green Bay and was being considered for a backup job behind Aaron Rodgers. The NFL's official personnel wire did not list Gray under official visits Monday, so it's logical to assume he's visiting this morning. The 6-3, 254-pound Gray entered the NFL as an undrafted rookie in 2002 and spent a year in NFL Europe. He has been brought along slowly behind Garrard and Byron Leftwich, but showed considerable growth in five years. He has a very strong arm and decent mobility, but needs to improve his accuracy.
