UPDATE 6/8/07: After sniffing around a few veteran guards since the start of free agency in March, the Giants finally added one today. They signed eight-year veteran Zach Piller, who has been with the Titans since the team selected him in the third round of the 1999 draft.

UPDATE 5/4/07:
The release of Zach Piller is a surprise on one level because they just signed him as a free agent five weeks ago. Then again, it's not that shocking because the Lions suddenly have a logjam on the offensive line.

The Lions signed free-agent guard Zach Piller of the Tennessee Titans on Friday and were close to an agreement with Edwin Mulitalo, another free-agent guard from the Baltimore Ravens.
